About

David Yorke Sartorio. I bought a Polaroid camera and got hooked on taking photos, much to the annoyance of family and friends. Why not just post these photos on Instagram? I don’t know. I have more fun doing it here. If you spend any time on this site, you’ll see a lot of family, friends, trail runs and sporting events. And random truncated cityscapes / landscapes of places I’ve been that I think are worth photographing with my Polaroid.

Why Polaroid: I like my Polaroid because the photos aren’t 100% perfect re-creations of whatever I’m shooting. I don’t like people pulling out their phones whenever anything cool happens or anything happens that looks like it would look cool on the internet . But, I’m also one of those persons that likes to pull out my phone or camera and take pictures of cool stuff. Ha! I like my Polaroid because I don’t fret about getting the perfect shot. Not gonna happen with the Polaroid (for me, at least). I usually end up loving the pics, and most of the time the pics look to me how the moment felt to me and not exactly how the event looked to me. I like that - catching the feeling and not the exact look of something. Plus, (gonna get really basic here) I like the colors and, like Instagram filters, I think Polaroids make everyone look good.

Any thumbs and captions you see are mine.
